66th Independence Day 2023 - Malaysia National Day

This year is the 66th anniversary of independence!
Malaysia's National Day is scheduled on August 31st every year to commemorate our first Prime Minister Tunku Ahdul Rahman and his team's negotiations to declare independence on August 31, 1957.
Every year’s National Day has a different theme, and the theme for 2023 is Malaysia Madani: Resolute Unity and Hope. The palm symbol of "Malaysia Madani" symbolizes harmony and unity among people of all races.
The theme is to ensure that the people enjoy all forms of progress and modernization based on the sustainability of national culture, creativity, confidence, harmony, respect and piety.

The national flag of Malaysia, also known as the "brilliant stripes" (Jalur Gemilang), is one of the symbols of Malaysia's national sovereignty. The main part consists of 14 red and white horizontal stripes of equal width. On the upper left is a dark blue rectangle with a yellow crescent and a yellow star with 14 pointed points. The 14 red and white horizontal stripes originally represented the 14 states of Malaysia. After Singapore became independent in 1965, it represented the 13 states and governments of Malaysia. The crescent moon symbolizes belief in Islam. Yellow represents the color of the head of state.
There are nearly 17,000 people participated in the National Day Parade held in Putrajaya on August 31st this year. Moreover, this year's National Day celebration has been prepared for a long time, and relevant departments have started the preparations in April. There are many schools, institutions, military, bands and some mascots participating in this celebration. It must be a very spectacular parade. The parade will be held at Dataran Putrajaya on August 31, 2023 at 7 am. For those who want to participate in the parade can join them and have a look!
