Throwback to three years ago, the first case of the coronavirus was founded during the end of 2019, and in the beginning of the 2020, the coronavirus spread to many countries one after another. The first confirmed case in Malaysia was on February 5, 2020, and the number of cases grew slowly from single digits. In order to curb the spread of the virus, the Malaysian Ministry of Health cited the country's relevant laws to implement a movement control order (MCO) for the purpose of effectively reducing the number of people infected by the virus. The first Movement Control Order (MCO) in Malaysia started on March 18, 2020 and it lasted for 47 days for first stage. During this epidemic period, Malaysia's police were playing a very important role just like other front line medical staff, they stick to their position, fight the epidemic day and night, setting up the block roads and barriers in various areas to ensure that people obey the movement control and reduce infected cases effectively.

According to news reports: On October 27, 2020, front line personnel such as police and medical staff in Malaysia suffered a huge impact. There are among 10,000 police officers have been quarantined due to the coronavirus, and more than 200 police officers have been tested positive for coronavirus and received treatment. Therefore the deployment and mobilisation of the police face huge challenges. Malaysian Home Minister Datuk Seri Hansa Zainuddin said that many police officers were infected with the coronavirus while performing tasks or conducting inspections in the "red zone" of the epidemic. --Sina News.
